2012 Apr 11

Kiely Flynn, a resident of Falmouth, ME and a member of the class of 2013 at Providence College, recently spent a week working in Mexico, as part of the College's Feinstein Academic Institute's Alternative Spring Break 2012 program.

Flynn was among nearly 60 Providence College students who volunteered to spend their spring break to work in 4 different locations around the world. In Tijuana, Mexico, Flynn and seven PC students built a home for a family in need, while exploring issues related to immigration and culture. They were accompanied by Heather Whitney, service learning coordinator in the College's Feinstein Academic Institute, and Stephanie Nunes, AmericaCorps VISTA representative.
