Providence College Awards Undergraduate Degree to Rehoboth, MA Resident During 95th Commencement Exercises

Victoria Provazza, a resident of Rehoboth, MA was among over 900 students from Providence College who received undergraduate degrees during the College's Ninety-Fifth Commencement Exercises held on Sunday, May 19, 2013. Provazza graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in English/Creative Writing.

The Commencement address was delivered by The Very Reverend Robert Barron, creator and host of the Catholicism documentary series and founder of a global media ministry. He received an honorary doctorate in religious education. Four other distinguished individuals received honorary degrees from the College. They are: Paul J. Birmingham, Vito D. Buonomano, D.D.S. '53& '76G, his wife, Louise J. Buonomano '76G, and Michael A. Ruane '71.

Providence College is the only college or university in the United States administered by the Dominican Friars. The Catholic, liberal arts college has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 3,900 students and offers degrees in 49 academic majors. Since 1997, Providence College has consistently been ranked among the top five regional universities in the north according to U.S. News' America's Best Colleges.
